The 14-year-old actress from Potomac plays Jenny Humphrey on the CW network's hit about spoiled rich kids in New York's Upper East Side, so everyone noticed when she showed up for the Oct. 27 dance. Although she isn't attending classes at Churchill this fall (tutored on set, we presume), Momsen came with former classmates from Herbert Hoover Middle School (no date). Wearing a black lace tunic ("way too short for a dress," reports one eyewitness), she spent most of the night huddled with friends; ditto for the afterparty, where strangers had a hard time striking up a conversation with the gorgeous blond starlet. OMG! So GG!

Momsen started acting 11 years ago (best known as Cindy Lou Who in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas") but hit it big when "Gossip Girl" -- based on the best-selling teen novels -- debuted in September. Will we see more of the new celeb in D.C.? Hope so -- the writers' strike cut short filming, her parents live in Maryland . . . and on Facebook, she calls herself a member of Churchill's Class of 2011.
